Selection Process
The scholarship selection process is highly competitive, with merit being the primary criterion for successful applicants.
The initial phase involves the Scholarships Coordinator shortlisting candidates who meet the eligibility criteria. Those who qualify proceed to the subsequent selection stage.
In the following stage, an awarding panel comprising representatives from Admissions, Widening Participation, and the Immigration Advisory Service will review the applications. Recognizing the diversity in applicants’ skills, attributes, and experiences, the panel evaluates academic records and responses to questions in the application form. Emphasis is placed on the content of answers and their relevance rather than the quality of writing.
Applications are assessed against specified criteria, and the panel makes the final decision on award recipients and reserves.
